Before the main feature starts you are treated to a Pixar short - Small Fry featuring Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the crew. And it’s excellent as you would expect and answers the question regarding where all the discarded Happy Meal toys end up! A+
As for the main feature - excellent - had a really positive ”feel good” vibe about it. All your favourite Muppets return and famous cameo after cameo grace the screen.
Kids will love it, it has a big heart for a movie.
Although I have seen all the previous entries in years gone by this is the first time on the big screen for me and it looked great.
If I had to mark it down it would be for having to wait until the end credits for Mah Na Mah Na!
Thoroughly enjoyable!

Another week and yet another free preview. On a roll at the moment! This was much better than last weeks entry in all honesty. All 3 leads put in above average performances but they are all overshadowed by Chelsea Handlers supporting character! The film whizzes along and never takes itself too seriously. By no means a classic but passes the time adequately. Lisa on the other hand loved it so maybe its more appealing to the female audience.
The Avengers has a new title in the UK now. Avengers Assemble. Where’s that face palm smilie when you need it!

So they are rebooting/re-imaging National Lampoon’s Vacation now amongst the many others out there or in the works. Not sure about that. They can work out brilliantly like the recent re-visit to Planet of the Apes if enough care taken but so often they fall short due to every compromise in the book. I like Vacation, probably Chevy’s best film. Let’s hope they do it justice and hope they include Chevy in the mix as Grandpa Griswold!
Couple of behind the scenes photo’s from the set of the Star Trek sequel have surfaced around the net today. 2013 release date though.

Another week, another pre-release free preview(!)
Denzil is always worth a watch but this is another in a long line of instantly forgettable action movies. And I swear he must have written into his contract that it has to use lots a shaky cam shots at every opportunity. It’s getting tired guys, give it a rest!
Both Denzil and Ryan put in adequate performances but the Supporting cast are wasted, especially Robert Patrick. Very loud in places, some brutal action scenes and a passable car chase but it just doesn’t hit the highs it was aiming for.
One word sums it up really - average.
No, Nada, No way. Mesa not gonna happen. If George wants me to watch ‘em in 3D he better pull his finger out and release Episode IV sooner than 2015!

Managed to grab a couple of free preview tickets to see Titanic 3D back on Feb 14th. It’s the same movie but this time in 3D. I am still not convinced with 3D. Admittedly I have not seen that many in 3D as of yet. Avatar set the benchmark and it was very impressive on the IMAX. The post conversion films we have seen have been average at best in terms of 3D quality. I was expecting more from this due to James Cameron having overseen the conversion. If the director that pioneered the re-emergence of 3D with Avatar can’t knock a post conversion out of the park who can?
Everyone has seen it (well most people anyway) so won’t go into story details.
Technically it was very good, and found myself regularly lifting my 3D glasses to check the difference of the image on screen. This was due purely my curiosity in the process rather than constant distraction! There is a very real sense of depth in many scenes but not at all times throughout the movie. The frantic action during the sinking was also hard to follow sometimes with the added 3D-ness. Seemed much darker as well in those same shots.
It could very well be the best post 3D conversion yet. Not released generally until April (also in 2D according to the rumours) to coincide with the centenary of the sinking so the reviews are still over a month out to compare notes!
All things considered I would still much prefer a crisp remastered 1080p bluray to watch in the comfort of the living room at home.
Is a great source of upcoming movie news. What’s yours?
Hello Tumblr. I might make this my place to offer comment and opinions on. One of my fave past times - Movies.
